Adolescent Therapy

Today’s teens deal with academic pressure, social conflict, navigating influence from peers, meeting expectations of parents, teachers, and coaches, complex social media stressors, all while developing the decision making part of their brains. These factors are made all the more complicated by the recent youth mental health crisis. Many parents feel helpless when their teen is experiencing mental health issues and struggle in connecting them with the appropriate care, finding many providers inept and inexperienced in working with adolescents.

Liz has a unique connection and approach to therapy with adolescents. She sees her role as guiding teens and their families through challenges with support and expertise. Her warm and friendly approach combined with the developmental awareness of adolescent behavior and her ability to work effectively with the families of her teen clients sets her apart. Liz has worked with teen clients with a range of issues, including ADHD and neurodivergence, self-harm, depression, anxiety, executive functioning challenges, emotional regulation challenges, bullying, and eating disorders.
